The analogue thumb stick on the G13 is to replace the WASD keys for movement plus 24 programmable buttons under the fingers of your left hand with multiple profiles and macro function as well as a multi function LCD bined with a mouse, it eliminates the need for stretching fingers for combination keyboard inputs. It's fairly useless without a mouse so I wouldn't bother looking to this as a viable alternative since it merely emulates the function of the left thumb-stick of an Xbox controller.with added buttons of course.
It's great for the likes of ARMA combined with my 18 button gaming mouse for head-look etc. It looks like a very cheaply made copy of a Logitech G13 (which costs less).I use one of those, mainly for ARMA 3 since there's so many combination key inputs.
